53

I was kind of disappointed 52 never explained why Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock came back. Sure this could all just be on a separate Earth or whatever, but it would have been great to have Montoya's Question back in Gotham with Batwoman in a caper that brings back Gordon and Bullock. Maybe it's been explained somewhere else?

Does it really need to be? I suppose not, but it was one of the things I was looking forward to seeing.

Also, I guess this should be 54, is anyone else worried about Tibet taking over the DCU? I mean they know pretty much all the hero's secrets or whatever. I'm just saying, it could be all zen, zen, zen, Pearl Harbor!

I'm starting to think "missing year" stories could become the new "Year One" stories.I would really love to see a mini-series detailing what happened in Gotham. Hopefully, they're just waiting for Brubaker and Lark's deals to run out with Marvel to get them back to tell the story.

Oh now THAT'S what I'm talking about. I'd love to see that. Although I only ever bought one issue of Gotham Central when it was out on the shelves and ranked it as single of the year - the one with Poison Ivy and the crooked cops, I've since fallen in love with the series in trade.

I couldn't agree more that having them back in Gotham would be the perfect team to tell the stories of the missing years. I'd love it based around Bullock.

Incidentally, if you're reading GC in trade, you may want to start hunting down single issues. They're only collected the "major" storylines in trade so there's a lot of good stuff that'll never be collected. Start by finding issue #11, a single issue tale illustrated by Brian Hurtt, it's excellent.

It is easily my favorite series ever. Yeah, I said it.

Well that seems like a lot of effort, what with finding numbers and then searching through alphabetized collections...hmmmm. This may happen when I'm up for it but to be honest, as much as I love comics I'm not dedicated enough at the moment to really search out books I'm interested in that will cost me more than cover price.

Yeah, I said it. It is now a part of the long term plan though, same with eventually getting the Wasteland trade and Manhunter trades - both of which I really want but can't seem to find the money for either.
