Today is Get a Different Name Day. So go read Nightwing comics in celebration since he’s the highest profile name change in comics that I can think of. Who else is there? Everyone in Nextwave apparently, I don’t really know any of them. This is like the perfect holiday for B or C list comic characters.
You can now call me Nyquil Uppercut after my two favorite things.
I don’t have much to update because I’m plowing through Jeff Smith’s Bone one-volume tome, the winter Olympics started, and I just watched the musical version of Buffy. I’ve discovered my inner diva because of that. Who knew?
I used to be so punk. Fuck. Bollocks. Arse. Gobshite. Now I feel better.
That should make all the parents who came here because of the childrens authors and illustrators stuff VERY happy.

Check out the soundtrack for "Avenue Q", which is a broadway musical that is kind of like Sesame Street with South Park sensibilities.
Where Sesame Street would have a bit and song about appreciating everyone's differences, Avenue Q has a number called "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist".
Where Sesame Street has Cookie Monster, Avenue Q has "Trekkie Monster", whose big song is "The Internet Is For Porn": Why you think the net was born? Porn! Porn! Porn!
The actual stage production actually features puppets.
Never thought I'd be caught dead driving around listening to showtunes...
There's also a musical version of The Evil Dead movies that got rave reviews in Toronto. Their big song was something like "What the fuck was that?" And I believe they do the chainsaw/possessed hand bit on stage.
