Okay I seem to be in about a once a month posting schedule now - life happens, don't ya know? - but I came across this story today in the Globe and Mail that is pretty much an origin story for the Canadian version of Super-Pro. Nice American kid comes up north and just starts tackling would be street toughs around Edmonton. The best thing is that he could actually call himself the Edmonton Eskimo even if it's a slightly racist term these days - I'm not entirely sure on the protocol for using Eskimo anymore.
I'd read at least one whole issue of this dude watching street crime and saying , "Well, KJ, you gotta do what you gotta do" before he dives into action. He could fight all your typical Edmonton crime, not just purse snatchings - bars watering down the draft beer, someone not driving a pickup truck, people not voting Conservative, all the classics.
